Getting a parent discussion group started and keeping it going is as easy as 1-2-3. It is easy, that is, when you use the Raising our Daughters, Raising our Sons, or Face to Face Parent Guides as the curriculum. During these 1.5-hour trainings, you’ll learn everything you need to know to organize a discussion group with other parents at your school, place of worship, library or neighborhood community center. In addition to these trainings being available in the SW Portland area, we also offer the trainings via Webinars so that anyone throughout the country can participate and become empowered to start a parenting group.

Our belief is that parents are the most wise and intuitive about what is best for their children. However, parents sometimes need the support of effective, timeless, compassionate parenting information and strategies. On this website you will find our three parenting books on boys, girls, and kids’ social lives and ten years of monthly newsletter articles. In addition, a powerful, under-recognized resource is the support of other parents. Here you will find how to use our books as discussion guides for monthly self-led parenting groups.
